I had the honor of participating in the Circle Of Fathers event for the Trayvon Martin Foundation. It was a powerful event. My heart literally hurts everytime I see Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. Here there are still grieving over the fact that their son Trayvon Martin was snatched away from them and they still to this day have not received justice for it, but yet they have turned their tragedy into service.

Last week, author, activist and former NBA player Etan Thomas and the Kinnon Group, in conjunction with Canaan Baptist Church  of Christ, held a Fatherhood Panel in Harlem, New York before 6th and 8th graders from the New York Public School District who are considered "at risk."
In other words, they are beautiful black and brown children from economically disadvantaged and disenfranchised backgrounds. Guests were Amare Stoudemire, Styles P, Chris Broussard, and Allan Houston. They electrified the crowd through words of passion, honesty, commitment, and upliftment. 

Was part of an amazing basketball clinic in Tulsa Oklahoma. Robbin Vann conducted a day long free clinic for the youth of Tulsa Oklahoma as well as life skills incorporated with the basketball fundamentals.

We had an amazing discussion with the freshmen and sophomore males at Wise High School. Very powerful panel. We talked to them about how important they are and how much they mattered.

I had the honor of speaking to a great group of young people in Tulsa Oklahoma for the 2014 Youth Summit. Young people will listen when you speak honestly to them and let them know that you actually care. 

I had the opportunity to speak at a great event called "Saving Our Sons" at the Overtown Youth Center in Miami. Donte Stallworth did an amazing job sharing with the young men sharing mistakes he made what he learned from them and how you don't always get a second chance and

I spoke to an amazing group of kids from The Stratford Program. It's a special school for Autistic children and they all had the most beautiful smiles, spirits, and personalities. Really humbling experience. 

Was part of an amazing event called The Role Model Summit In Reno Nevada. About 30 different athletes from The NFL, WNBA, and NBA, traveled around Reno Nevada to various sites and spoke to a wide variety of young people.
