Gaithersburg Book Festival

Author, poet, and former NBA player Etan Thomas (whose career, included a number of years with the Washington Wizards, BTW) is joining us #GBF to speak about his new book, "We Matter: Athletes and Activism."

In the book, Thomas shares personal stories and conversations he has had with dozens of notable sports figures - including Bill Russell, Steve Kerr, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dwyane Wade, and many more - who have spoken out on issues of politics, policy, and race.

This should be a very timely and interesting discussion - and you don't want to miss it! Join us on Saturday, May 18th, to meet Etan Thomas, one of more than 100 remarkable authors and programs at this year's Festival. As always, GBF is FREE to attend and FREE to park. Books will be available for sale on site, thanks to our friends at Politics and Prose Bookstore. And Mr. Thomas will be happy to sign them for you. Please bring friends and family!
