Another great debate last night. Yes we disagreed a lot but we were able to exchange different perspectives and ideas without calling names, cancelling, or disrespecting each other. This is the way that debate is supposed to happen. We didn’t livestream but don’t worry we did record it, and will put it out as an episode of The Rematch when we start rolling them out. And thank you to all of the ppl who stayed for the book signing. Me and @marcelluswiley may have disagreed a lot on stage, but after the event, he stuck around for almost an hour and a half engaging in discussion and debate with other ppl who disagreed with him, taking pictures, signing books...he engaged with every student, or person from the community who approached him. It’s interesting, so many ppl came up to me after the event and said how impressed they were with Gilbert Arenas. As I have been telling everyone for years since we were teammates, Gilbert is extremely intelligent and we had so many deep convos when we were with the Wizards. Last night, he hit the audience with one point in particular regarding SB 206 that nobody thought of. He was also honest, open and vulnerable in a way that he probably didn’t go in thinking he would be. Gilbert is a good dude. He even addressed some of his own mistakes, the gun incident and his comments about Lupita on his own, I wasn’t going to ask him about any of that on stage. And he was open and receptive to criticism. Even some rather harsh criticism from Dr Edwards. Like I told him after the event, he needs to write a book. Y’all only knew Agent Zero, but I knew Gilbert Arenas and I’m so glad he joined us and showed the world the Gilbert that I knew when we were teammates.
